Chenille, like velvet, is a pile fabric and has a nap. Depending on the angle of the pile and the angle at which the fabric is viewed, areas will appear lighter or darker within the piece. This shading or mottled effect occurs naturally in chenille fabrics.
As white fabrics are inherently less opaque than other fabrics you may notice shadows, threads, or highlights, especially on cushions with feather content. Fabric translucency can be affected by lighting and where the fabric is applied on upholstered furniture.
Water-based cleaner. Spot clean, using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo product. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry.
